Berlin, February 2011. Selected among over 1,500, Haven has been awarded with the most important prize of the Federal Republic of Germany in the design field.
“A sense of lightness through transparency, whereby the latter is created by a self-supporting net on a weather-proof steel frame. Cushions and back cushions in various colors and outdoor fabrics. This all goes to make the ideal seat for outdoor use with the comfort and design standard we are accustomed to getting from indoor furniture.” So stated the jury of 2011 edition.
The Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, given for the first time in 1969, is known as the “Prize of Prizes”. The participation is in fact reserved to design items which have already won national or international awards elsewhere. Furthermore, the manufacturers of such items must be nominated by Ministries or Senators of the Federal States or by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology.
