The green of the vegetation, the blue of the ocean, and the orange and fuchsia of the flowers of these latitudes: Paola Lenti was back in Los Angeles to give a new character to the flagship store on Melrose Avenue, opening in 2020 in partnership with Robina Benson Design. A way to share with the American public a very personal living philosophy, always marked by experimentation: of unusual shades; of processes that enhance the made by hand; of solutions that convey harmony, well-being, and a strong bond with nature.
The palette selected for the setting is in tune with the sunny hues of the Californian landscape. And the result is luminous: the colour weaves a dialogue between one environment and another, now igniting the baskets of the Mottainai collection made from recycled materials, fixed to the walls like an installation, now blending the aquamarine, greens, and powder pink of the outdoor products, now softening the sand and dusty grey to accompany the visitor in the most subdued spaces of the sleeping area.
The atmosphere of the place is also conveyed by the dozens of plants that coexist between the new hand-woven chaises longues, the enamelled tables, and the walls in Sciara: sculpture-like flowers and tropical species in pots of local crafts that speak of a frontier land rich in energy and contamination.
Overlooking Melrose Avenue, the famous street that crosses Los Angeles from Beverly Hills to Silver Lake, Paola Lenti’s flagship store covers an area of 900 square meters.
