Metamorfosi collection, designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana for Paola Lenti, has been honored with the prestigious NYCxDesign Award 2023 in the category of Environmental Impact. This collection showcases a series of unique pieces that have emerged from the innovative reuse of production leftovers, including fabric offcuts, technical yarn cords, swatches, and selvedges. Through meticulous craftsmanship, these remnants have been transformed into five stunning seating pieces and a captivating tapestry, blurring the lines between design and artistry.
Drawing inspiration from the ever-changing forms and dynamics of nature, the Metamorfosi collection exemplifies the unwavering commitment to waste reduction and responsible use of raw materials, in line with Paola Lenti’s enduring philosophy of sustainability and environmental consciousness.
Now in its eighth edition, the NYCxDesign Award is internationally renowned for its recognition of exceptional projects, products, furniture, and accessories. Selected by a distinguished panel of architects and designers, the awards honor outstanding achievements in originality, design excellence, and, as exemplified by the Metamorfosi collection, significant contributions to environmental sustainability.
The award ceremony was held on May 18th and was streamed live from New York City via the Design TV channel of Interior Design magazine, the organizer of this prestigious accolade.
