Paola Lenti and Casual Móveis meet art in São Paulo

From April 2 to 6, Paola Lenti and Casual Móveis took part in SP-Arte, the annual art fair held at the Biennale Pavilion in São Paulo’s Parque Ibirapuera—one of Brazil’s most iconic spaces dedicated to culture and the arts.

Over five days, the event turned the city into a vibrant hub for galleries, design studios, collectors, curators, artists and enthusiasts from around the world. Alongside the main exhibitions, SP-Arte hosted art publishers, magazines, museums, cultural institutions and independent spaces, creating a dynamic setting where diverse forms of artistic expression meet and interact.

The installation followed a narrative path that staged Mottainai, the project through which the Italian company has restored life and dignity to production remnants, transforming them into refined materials for unique objects where aesthetics and function converge. production remnants by transforming them into refined materials for unique objects where aesthetics and function converge. The name, drawn from an ancient Japanese expression, conveys a sense of regret over waste and encourages recovery and reuse.

Displayed within an evocative installation—knitted strands of grass in a scale that sparks a childlike sense of wonder—were Metamorfosi, the first chapter of the collection by Estúdio Campana, Hana-arashi, designed by Nendo, and a selection of iconic Paola Lenti pieces reinterpreted through the same philosophy of mindful transformation.
