Outdoor living on Board

On Wednesday, March 4, Paola Lenti Milano hosted Beyond the Horizon, an event promoted by Paola Lenti and Model Maker Group on the occasion of the Graduation Day of the 24th edition of the Master in Yacht Design at Politecnico di Milano.

Students were invited to explore the design of outdoor spaces on yachts as an element of continuity between interior and exterior—considering the sundeck and maindeck as fully livable environments in dialogue with both the yacht’s architecture and the surrounding seascape—and to interpret them through the materials, products and design philosophy of Paola Lenti.

A jury chaired by Espen Øino, internationally renowned naval architect, awarded the project MY AISEE, which stood out for the ability of its authors—coming from different countries and educational backgrounds—to enhance outdoor spaces as an active element in shaping the onboard environment, as well as for the quality of the integration of Paola Lenti furnishings within a coherent design vision.

The event welcomed over 200 guests and represented an important opportunity for dialogue between the new generation of designers, the nautical industry and leading figures in international yacht design.

Two days later, Simona Parravicini, Senior Architect at Paola Lenti—who complements her design practice with activities in training, brand culture communication and the promotion of the company’s collections at both national and international level—was invited to share Paola Lenti’s perspective on sustainable outdoor furnishings for yachts during the panel “Redefining Luxury”, promoted by Smart Interior Horizon on the third day of Seaquip, a trade event in its first edition dedicated to marine components.
