The Hana-arashi collection, designed by Nendo for Paola Lenti, has been selected by ADI — Associazione per il Disegno Industriale — for the ADI Design Index 2025, in the Design for Living category.
The swivel armchair, representing the entire collection, will be exhibited from October 15 to 30 at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, and from November 11 to 28 in Agrigento, the Italian Capital of Culture 2025.
Hana-arashi – a Japanese term meaning “flower storm” – evokes the second beauty generated by the dance of the petals of cherry trees when they fall moved by the wind.
Hana-arashi represents the second chapter of Mottainai, the project through which Paola Lenti restores function and beauty to production remnants, preventing them from being wasted.
