Paola Lenti has always given fabric a key role in shaping and evolving its unmistakable design language.
Years of research into yarn characteristics and performance, paired with continuous experimentation with materials, have enabled the company to develop an extensive range of exclusive technical fabrics for outdoor use, to which Poppy and Herbier, two new textiles introduced at Milano Design Week 2025, are now welcomed.
These fabrics feature patterns that recall the floral motifs of the 1950s parasols.
Inspired by nature, their designs seem to capture, in a clean graphic style, the shadows cast by leaves or blooming branches as they sway in the summer breeze.
Decorated on one side and solid-coloured on the other, Poppy and Herbier stand out for their refined colour combinations, tonal contrasts, and subtle interplay of hues.
As with all exclusive fabrics by Paola Lenti, they come in a wide range of variations, conceived to be an integral, essential part of each product and to seamlessly blend with outdoor spaces.
When used for Bistrò parasols, the solid-coloured side is placed on the outside, while the patterned interior creates a small, sheltered world, intimate, reserved and protected from the sun and wind.
Used instead to upholster Portofino, Salina and Hammock seating, they lighten and refresh the overall look, without compromising the elegance and purity of the design.
