Indoor loose cushions are available in different dimensions and can be used to complete all seating in the collection.

Padding: recycled and biodegradable polyester fibre, fixed foam covering in polyester cloth.
Upholstery: removable and available in all the fabrics in the collection.

Notes: the padding of the cm 50×60 cushion, which can be used also as a back cushion, is provided with an additional internal layer made of expanded polyurethane.

Pouf with upholstery cover in felt.

Padding: polypropylene microspheres enclosed in a covering in 100% three-dimensional polyester fabric, stress-resistant expanded polyurethane and polyester fibre, fixed foam covering in polyester fibre and polyamide.
Upholstery cover: removable, crafted from decorated elements in Paola Lenti Felt. Each element features abstract décors in varying forms and colours, created with Ruffle Indoor yarn (100% virgin wool), irregularly sewn and uniquely positioned each time.

Notes: since the polypropylene microspheres can freely move inside the cover, the dimensions given are an indication only and may vary by some centimeters.

Ghirigoro | Mottainai

Pouf for interior use available in two dimensions, with removable felt upholstery.

Padding: polypropylene microspheres.
Covering: fixed, in three-dimentional polyester fabric.
Upholstery: removable, made by sewing together with Zigzag stitch elements in Paola Lenti felt decorated with machine embroidery.

Notes:
The upholstery of the Ghirigoro poufs is decorated with machine embroideries and stitching that involve the use of yarns from the processing of the outdoor fabrics of the collection and that vary from time to time according to the movements imposed on the machine itself by the operator.

By the very nature of the process, these poufs are unique pieces: they mix fabric scraps recovered from previous productions according to an aesthetic criterion, which enhances every single combination, and a conceptual one, which takes up the philosophy of “no waste” and makes them become an integral part of the Mottainai collection. It will then be possible to indicate only the main shade of the desired upholstery, or opt for a multi-coloured upholstery version.

Légère

Pouf, re-edition of an original design from the 1970s.
The Légère series also includes an armchair and a two-seater sofa.

Structure: natural or dyed oak heartwood, spacers in plastic and felt.
Structural cover: consisting of two layers of Piqué fabric, between which a polyester support net is inserted.

Seat cushion padding: recycled and biodegradable polyester fibre, stress resistant expanded polyurethane insert, fixed foam covering in polyester and polyamide.
Upholstery cover: removable, available in the indoor fabrics listed here below and in Maglia Rasata Indoor.

Notes:
The natural and the dyed oak heartwood are treated with a transparent finish that limits the absorption of liquids and greasy substances.

Seat cushion is simply arranged onto the structure.

The colour of the load-bearing cover in Piqué fabric is always in a colour matching the upholstery of the seat cushion.

Born in Milan in 1921, Angelo Mangiarotti was both a designer and educator, combining his architectural, urban planning, and design practice with a distinguished teaching career at leading universities in Italy and abroad. He regarded architecture as a practical, functional, and restrained art form, while industrial design, for him, was a way to express the artisan’s touch through materiality. Unlike many of his contemporaries in the first generation of Italian design, Mangiarotti’s approach prioritized the adaptation of objects to their intended function, material properties, and environmental conditions.

Series of poufs with cover made of a tubular mélange knit or a wool cord.

Padding: polypropylene micro-spheres.
Padding cover: polyester three-dimensional fabric.

Upholstery: removable and made sewing in a spiral-like pattern a mélange tubular knit in polyester or a woolen cord (Corda Atlas).

Notes:
Corda Atlas is a wool cord that, after being braided, undergoes a two-colour dyeing process which, by settling in a random pattern, creates a delicate, speckled effect that is different each time.

Zebrù | Mottainai

Pouf for interior environments with fabric upholstery cover, available with or without fringes.

Structure: polypropylene microspheres, fixed foam cover in three-dimensional polyester fabric.
Upholstery: removable, in a bouclé fabric hand loom woven with remnants of yarns and scraps from the indoor fabrics in the collection.

Notes:
The covers of the Zebrù pouf differ in the presence or not of the fringe around the seat perimeter and in the different results obtained from the loom hand-weaving of the fabric cover itself. For the pouf with fringe a fabric has been produced with a pattern of dense multicolored decomposed stripes, resulting in a delicate bouclé effect on the seat, leaving instead the recycled materials more evident on the side band. In the case of the pouf without fringe, however, the upholstery fabric is more uniform and has a marked bouclé effect on the entire surface.

The colour combinations have been conceived according to an aesthetic criterion, which enhances every single component, and conceptual, which takes up the philosophy of “no waste” of the Mottainai collection. Therefore, it will be possible to indicate only the main shade of the desired upholstery, or opt for a multicoloured upholstery cover.
